Can You Relate?

Every time you see a gorgeous DIY project online, your heart says, "I want to build that!"

But your head says something else:

"Where do I even start?"

"What if I mess up?"

"What tools do I need?"

"I'm scared I'll hurt myself!"

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, confused, or hesitant to pick up that power tool, I see you.

I’ve been there.

I know what it’s like to want to create something beautiful for your home but feel paralyzed by not knowing what step comes first.

You’re not alone.

You don’t need to figure it all out by yourself.

Why most DIY tutorials leave you feeling more intimidated than confident...

The truth is that your brain processes information from a screen in a totally different way than it does when you learn a hands-on skill.

To build confidence, you need to build projects.

In other words...

If you want to learn to build stuff, you have to BUILD STUFF.

INTRODUCING...

"Anika's course takes the overwhelm and nerves out of beginning to be a woodworker.  The resources she provides are perfect for someone who is just getting started as she details and explains every part of the process as she walks you through it.  She leaves you with a sense of confidence and some great-looking projects."

After nearly 10 years of helping beginners master their power tools and build beautiful furniture, I’ve learned one key truth:

The only way to improve your woodworking skills is to practice—consistently and hands-on.

That’s how I learned, and every experienced DIYer will tell you the same.

When I built my very first piece—a small table for my daughter—I made plenty of mistakes.

It was frustrating, but understanding why those mistakes happened and how to fix them was exactly what helped me grow.

That’s exactly why I created The Fearless Woodworker™.

We start with a simple project you can build using just a few tools and materials.

With each new project, you’ll learn essential skills and gradually add new tools to your toolkit.

By the end, you’ll have the confidence and know-how to take on any woodworking project like a pro.

The Fearless Woodworker is right for you if:

  • You’re new to woodworking or DIY and don’t know where to begin
  • You have a few tools but aren’t confident using them
  • You’re tired of overthinking and want someone to guide you step-by-step
  • You want to finally start AND finish projects you can be proud of.

*The Fearless Woodworker does not include

fine woodworking skills or hand tools.

I am so glad I signed up for this course. I have always found Anika’s tutorials and videos to be extremely easy to understand. There is something about the way she breaks it down that it just makes sense. I have built the sawhorses already, and I am exited to dive into the next projects.

Let's talk tools...

We’ll use these guys…

But guess what! We will also use these...

We won’t use them in our first few projects, but by the time you complete The Fearless Woodworker, you’ll be able to confidently use all of the tools!

Don’t have all these tools (yet)?

That’s okay!

All you need to get started are a power drill and a saw and then you can just add more tools as you go.

"Finally someone who is able to make woodworking understandable and who explains ‘basic’ concepts! I finished my first year of woodworking and….stopped. I felt frustrated and untalented and was having difficulties with almost everything. So I lost the fun, got discouraged. Now, I feel enthusiastic again. Thank you so much for giving me self-confidence in woodworking again."

It’s apparent that you are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what you're teaching and that really comes through in your videos. 😀 Thank you for sharing!!

FAQs

How is this different from all the other woodworking courses I’ve seen?

The biggest difference is the live support. Not only will you have access to a private Facebook group — but I’m also going live once a month (for three months) to take your questions and address any issues that come up in your builds.

The other big difference is that The Fearless Woodworker is organized by BUILD. Most courses are divided by subject matter (power tools, woodworking techniques, safety, etc.). While this can be a comprehensive way to organize information, it’s not the best way to internalize and implement your woodworking skills.

If you want to get better at building stuff, YOU HAVE TO BUILD STUFF! So that’s what we’re going to do.

How long will each project take me to build?

From start to finish, with no breaks, the projects in The Fearless Woodworker should take a minimum of 3 hours for the smaller builds and 5 hours for the more advanced projects.

But that doesn’t account for making the kids lunch or having to stop mid-build and pick it back up next weekend.

So my answer is - it varies! 🤷🏻‍♀️

What tools do I need for this?

You can get started with just a power drill and a saw for the first few projects. Eventually, we’ll be using a power drill, a circular saw, a nail gun, a miter saw, a random orbital sander, a jigsaw, a table saw, and a router.

I’m just starting out and don’t have all these tools.  🙁

That’s okay! You’ll be fine with just a power drill + saw for the first few builds.

How much will I need to spend on materials?

I have designed the projects to use big box store lumber as efficiently as possible. The first few projects use under $30 in lumber. The other projects are under $75. Ultimately, the total cost depends on the pricing in your area and what type of wood you choose. Hardware, stain, paint and other finishes are extra.

What if life gets in the way and I can’t keep up with each new build?

You can work through each build at your own pace. What’s different about The Fearless Woodworker is that I’ve filmed myself building each of these projects in real-time, so even if you don’t complete each build the week it’s released, you’ll still be working along with me rather than trying to digest a whole tutorial before you try it yourself.

You’ll also have lifetime access to the program if that helps. 🙂

Will I learn how to use these fancy hand tools I have?

No. The Fearless Woodworker covers basic, foundational skills, not fine woodworking. The most advanced we’ll get is using pocket holes to make joints and some half-lap cuts on the table saw (or circular saw).

What if I realize this is not for me after I buy it?

I am confident you will find the course overflowing with value. This is why I offer a 14-day refund guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the course for any reason, let me know, and I will make sure it is addressed.

Hi. 👋🏽

I’m Anika Gandhi

I’m an electrical engineer turned woodworker who’s here to teach you the why behind the how—and help you demystify DIY.

I use simple techniques and minimal tools to help aspiring DIYers like you make professional-looking projects, even if you’re just starting out.

I’ve been featured in MSN, NBC LA, Family Handyman, Popular Woodworking, FDMC Magazine, Women’s World, Mollie Makes, Domino, The Spruce, The Kitchn, Apartment Therapy, Buzzfeed, and more. I also won the Amara Blog Award 2019 for the Best Creative Blog (International).

I like big, blingy earrings, old architecture, Marvel movies, and 90s Bollywood music. I currently live in Southern California with my husband, son, and daughter, and even though I’m a classically trained dancer and an accomplished builder, I trip over my own feet way more often than you’d think.
